UK Mosques With Taraweeh Spaces for Women

by in Ramadan on 15th March, 2024

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported, The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who observes optional prayer (Taraweeh prayers) throughout Ramadan, out of sincerity of Faith and in the hope of earning reward will have his past sins pardoned.” (Bukhari)

From London to Aberdeen, we have come together to bring you a comprehensive list of mosques across the UK that offer dedicated women’s sections for Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan. With the blessed month of Ramadan upon us, we understand the significance of engaging in communal worship and experience the blessings of Allah’s mercy rain down on us as we stand in qiyam together before our Rabb as one Ummah.

Ibn ‘Umar reported, ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from the mosques of Allah.”’ (Muslim)

It is clear from above hadith that it is permissible for women to partake in congregational worship when they want to experience the sweetness of communal prayers in the masjid.

This year, we have collaborated with Muslimah App to bring you this list. Muslimah is the very first app for Muslim women with local mosque prayer times, prayer space locator to locate female friendly prayer spaces, salah, adhkar and more! You can download the app here.

This is by no means an exhaustive list and if we’re missing a mosque, please reach out to Muslimah on Instagram or Twitter so we can help more women to take part in Taraweeh prayers.
